Welcome to Little Bee Music
Little Bee Music is a structured musical play class for young children. The classes are based around learning melody and rhythm through the use of songs, activities, dance and musical instruments.
It is aimed at giving children the basic love and feel for music and is a great basis for learning a musical instrument, or simply to experience music while having a lot of fun, building confidence and coordination, and learning listening skills.
Music has so many benefits for your baby or toddler from improving memory and brain development, to enhanced social skills and coordination.
Little Bee Music is run by musicians who have young children, so we strive to provide early engagement and interaction with the wonderful world of music.
Our classes began as a small passion project run out of the front room of our residence. Giving very young children a solid, but fun introduction to music has been a labour of love. Over the years Little Bee Music has grown, so we felt the need to make a more permanent home in a larger venue. Hobby became small local business, and we are now able to offer Little Bee Music to even more of Canberra's Bubs, Tots and Littlies!

Songs help babies learn – The Telegraph (Sydney), December 29, 2012 Singing to babies helps them rise up the charts of development, and early childhood education expert says. University of South Australia Associate Professor Susan Hill said babies are born with a natural ability to appreciate music and early exposure can help “wire” the brain for future learning. She said nursery rhymes, songs, and chants helped babies to relax and be receptive to learning. “Singing and dancing not only increases vocabulary but also helps our memory develop,” she said. “Singing songs and nursery rhymes may be just as important as talking and reading to your child.”
